Gratitude

I recently watched a documentary detailing the poverty level in other countries. In it, they interviewed parents who spoke about how their children didn't have the energy to play when when they weren't able to provide enough food. Since watching, I've found myself especially thankful for the little things…the ability to give our kids water when they're thirsty, food when they're hungry, and to be able to take them to a doctor when they're sick. I love the quote, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." I just hope that we can provide our kids the most important necessity by teaching them how to make a "life" for themselves.
