This year, Arizona has received A TON of rain. This has resulted in incredible wildflowers in the desert. We couldn't pass up the chance to take a quick Sunday drive to see the wildflowers for ourselves!

Arizona Ghost Towns

I’m a sucker for a good abandoned building & have a history of making Ryan pull over for us to explore. Since our kids share this love, we decided it was time to begin exploring AZ ghost towns. It was a quick weekend getaway but hopefully the first of many more to come.

A Weekend Up North - Wutpaki National Monument

The area around the Wutpaki National Monument is by far one of the prettiest dessert landscapes we've seen in Arizona. The ruins found in this area remind us a lot of the many castles we explored in Ireland. It's amazing how similar so much of the architecture was even with them being located on different sides of the world. Just like the European castles, the kids enjoyed getting to climb the structures and explore the various rooms.
