Just Like Dad
When we grow up, we want to be JUST LIKE OUR DADS! Happy Father's Day!
This last weekend we took a day trip to Tucson to visit my Grandpa - Maeli's only living great-grandparent. It was fun getting to see the two of them interact with each other (that is, when she wasn't terrorizing his dog). ;-) We'll definitely have to visit again soon!
I swear the wheels are ALWAYS turning in this girl's head. I'm almost afraid to know what kind of crazy schemes she'll think of next.
We recently had a painting playdate with several of Maeli's friends. We laid out butcher paper, stripped the kids down, and let them go to town with the paint. The boys were a bit hesitant at first but not our Maeli - she dove right into the paint sliding onto her tummy to soak it all in. It was total chaos, a complete mess, and an absolute success! We'll definitely have to do it again!
To Our Moms,
We picked you flowers but they somehow disappeared...
We bought you chocolates but someone ate them...
So we guess a simple "Happy Mother's Day" will have to do. Thanks for all you do for us and for Maeli. We love you!
Love,
Kenzie & Ryan
Being the "on-the-go" baby that she is, Maeli never wants to miss a moment of action. When hearing her dad working on a tiling project, Maeli stood outside the bathroom anxiously awaiting her chance to get involved.
I recently peeked in on Maeli during naptime only to find this..
Last week Ryan's parents came to visit and spent a few days spoiling Maeli. As always, she loved the attention and had fun getting to play with her Grandma and Grandpa McFarlane.
While here, Ryan's parents wanted to teach Maeli how to climb up and down the stairs.
As you can see, she worked hard and with a little bit of help made it to the top.
