Bonding Blanket Time

Maeli: “Me & Jackson (Ie. the hamster) are having bonding blanket time.”

Poor guy, I’m pretty sure he’s just as scared of the term “bonding blanket time” as I am.

Constant Serenade

A perk of having the kids home is the constant serenade of this girl on the guitar.

Birthday Bash

We decided to throw one big end-of-summer bash to celebrate their birthdays!! I’m pretty sure we’ve hit the golden years of more babies, independent kids, & the best part - they actually still think we’re cool & want to be around us! I think we had just as much fun as the kids did! Peace out summer break!

All Dressed Up With Nowhere to Go

All dressed up with nowhere to go! Really hoping I can retire from this teaching gig in a few short weeks. Until then, it’s us against the world of distance learning tech-issues!

The Unpredictable Part of Family Life

While on our trip, all 4 of our kids came down with a stomach bug - spread out over 3 days. Each day another kid went down for the count - it almost became comical. We had to amend a lot of our plans to accommodate sick kids & several hikes were done carrying a kid on our backs. Stuff like this happens on every one of our trips but I wanted to document it this time so we never forget this unpredictable part of family life. (Although I’m sure Ryan needs no help remembering the kid on his shoulders puking on him.)

Goblin Valley State Park

The best kind of playground

Little Wild Horse Pass

When Milo began to get hot, he took his shirt off & tried to squeeze the sweat out of it to drink. We realized he’s probably been watching a bit too much Man vs Wild...
