Best Travel Agents

We woke up on Mother’s Day to the kids telling us they had a surprise for us. They blindfolded & took us downstairs to sit on a “magic carpet” (ie. a blanket). When they removed the blindfold we saw walls decorated with hand-drawn pictures & facts about Greece. Ryan & I were supposed to be vacationing in Greece this week but our trip got cancelled due to COVID. The “trip” turned out a bit different than originally expected, but really, could you ask for a better one-of-kind trip to Greece?! I’m so incredibly thankful I get to call the world’s best travel agents MINE.

Joanie

Many of my friends have heard me talk about my good friend Joanie. Joanie is quirky, independent, strong-willed, & has taught me lessons on patience comparable to that of motherhood. I recently read a quote that said, “It is usually through another person that (God) meets our needs.” I think sometimes he does that in unexpected ways. Joanie was definitely sent into my life to challenge & refine me. She has taught me about compassion & understanding & has played an important role in teaching my kids to serve. I hope everyone is lucky enough to have a “Joanie” in their life at some point. Seeing that smile on her face today kinda made it all worth it. #lighttheworld

Because of Him

We finally had to force them to stop looking at pictures to get the tree decorated. This year had its ups & downs but taking the time to review our year in pictures always reminds us how blessed we really are. I’m grateful for this time of year dedicated to celebrating the one who made this beautiful life possible. #becauseofhim
