Once There Was A (White Trash) Snowman

When you promise your 2 year old that she can make a snowman at Grandma and Grandpa's house, you better do all that you can to make it happen. Even if that means driving to the top of a freezing cold mountain.

No carrot or top hat? No problem! A paper cup and licorice should do the trick. I think they call that adaptive parenting... ;-)

Milo got off easy and slept snugly in the warm car the entire time. Smart time I'm sticking with him.

A Lot To Be Thankful For

You know your family is too big when you feel the need to eat Thanksgiving dinner at a church building. Amazing Food + Family Minute-To-Win-It = A Successful Holiday.

We have a lot to be thankful for over here. We feel that the best expression of our gratitude is to simply enjoy all that we've been blessed with. We may not have everything but we treasure all that we have. Here's to another year of simply "enjoying life!"

Orchardists In The Making

Ryan's mom comes from a family of apple farmers (orchardists) which means that every once in a while we get to take a trip to Manson, WA to help make homemade apple cider and donuts. This year Maeli got to take a walk through the apple orchard Co-op and hold apples the size of her head. We loved getting to be a part of the tradition while spending time with family!
