Visiting the Scottish Homeland - Day 1

Stop 1 - Try Haggis: After hearing all about this classic Scottish dish, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it for ourselves. The consistency was a bit strange but it pretty much tasted like a strange meatloaf.

Stop 2 - Loch Lomond: Ryan's dad chartered a boat that took us out to a few small islands on Loch Lomond. Each island had the ruins of a small castle that Ryan's ancestors had once inhabited. It was fun getting to get off the boat and explore each island with the kids.

Stop 3 - Luss, Scotland: A quick stop in Luss for lunch turned into an awesome play break for the kids.

Stop 4 - Eilean Donan Castle: On our route up North we made a quick stop at the Eilean Donan Castle. We've seen a lot of castles in our time here in Europe but this was definitely one of the most picturesque castles we've come across.
