Santa
That time that Camp told us he was Santa and insisted that
everyone sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.

The Night Before Christmas
Ryan's parents gave us the book "The Night Before Christmas" with a recording of Ryan's dad reading it for the kids. Camp is obsessed with the recording and plays it over and over and OVER again. If you ever want to find Camp, just follow the recording of Grandpa's voice.

Joanie
Many of my friends have heard me talk about my good friend Joanie.
Joanie is quirky, independent, strong-willed, & has taught me
lessons on patience comparable to that of motherhood. I recently read a
quote that said, “It is usually through another person that (God) meets
our needs.” I think sometimes he does that in unexpected ways. Joanie
was definitely sent into my life to challenge & refine me. She has
taught me about compassion & understanding & has played an
important role in teaching my kids to serve. I hope everyone is lucky
enough to have a “Joanie” in their life at some point. Seeing that smile
on her face today kinda made it all worth it. #lighttheworld

haircut this winter.

I’m grateful for this time of year dedicated to celebrating the one who made this beautiful life possible. #becauseofhim

A New Tradition
We started a new tradition of a movie and Chinese takeout on Thanksgiving Eve.
I think the kids were most excited to be able to use their chopsticks.

Feeling Old
Maeli found an unopened disposable camera at my parents’ house
last week. She looked confused as she tried to figure out how it worked.
It took a while to explain that you can’t just take 20 pictures at a
time or even see the pictures until you take it in to get developed.
Nothing makes you feel old quite like having to explain what “film” is
to your kids...
